Bacon County Middle School names Band Director for the 2023-24 School Year
Renee Garman is a 2023 graduate of Liberty University, earning a bachelor’s degree in music education with an instrumental focus. Miss Garman performed as a four year member of the LU Wind Ensemble and LU Symphony Orchestra, playing both flute and piccolo and serving as principal flutist for 2 concert seasons. She also spent four seasons with The Spirit of the Mountain Marching Band, performing on piccolo and mellophone, and serving as drum major in her final season. In addition to college marching band, Miss Garman also spent the summer of 2021 as a member of the drum major team for Atlanta CV Drum and Bugle Corps. Miss Garman’s other performance experience includes playing French horn in the LU University Band, performing with the LU Flute Ensemble, and performing as a member of the pit orchestra for the Mozart operas Cosi fan tutte and the Marriage of Figaro.
Miss Garman is passionate about music education and the marching arts and can’t wait to get to work with the Raider Band Program.
