State Superintendent Richard Woods Celebrates Raider Nation!
Bacon County School District, Superintendent, Traci Martin, and the BCSD
students and staff were thrilled to welcome Georgia State Superintendent
Woods.
We are so very proud of the great work happening throughout our school district.
The main recognition and visit from Superintendent Woods was to present the
Math Master Award Banner for tremendous achievement and growth in Math
EOC scores at Bacon County High School.
Bacon County Superintendent Martin also took time to recognize and celebrate
the impressive achievements of all schools in Bacon County!
Bacon County Primary and Bacon County Elementary Schools were recently
named Title I Distinguished Schools because they are in the top 5% of Georgia.
The District also highlighted Bacon Primary for the wonderful foundation they
continue to build for our youngest Raiders to help them become successful
learners.
Bacon County Elementary School was recognized for amazing success on the
Milestone testing last year. This includes scoring in the top 5%, 6%, and 10% in
math in the three respective grades and top 20% in two of the ELA grade levels.
Bacon County Middle School soared to the top 7% of Georgia in both science
and social studies at the 8th-grade level, and 7th-grade math earned the #1 spot
in our RESA area and the top 6% in the state!
Bacon County High School is also achieving great success with a 97.4
graduation rate and steady improvements across its EOCs. We are so proud of
Raider Nation and the continued success of all schools in the district.
