BCHS, Mr. Jimmy Scott recently attended the Georgia Young Farmers Association's (GYFA) 17th Annual Cattle Show at Reaves Arena in Perry Ga, where cattle from all over the state competed buckle and banner for best of show. He is currently working with our students to prepare their FFA livestock projects.

September 1, 2022, Officer Bernard Cooks will be joining BCSD as a School Resource Officer. Mr. Cooks has 28 years of experience in law enforcement. He has been a part of the Bacon County Sheriff's Office, the City of Alma Police Department, and Ware County Sheriff's Office. He will be stationed at Bacon County Middle/High. BCSD’s number one priority is the safety of our students and staff. He is excited about building relationships with students and helping inspire them to be their very best, while providing a safe environment for everyone. Please join us in welcoming Mr. Cooks to our BC team!

Derrick Green, Principal at Bacon County Middle School, let's his actions do the talking. He supports his teachers by having his "office" in the halls most of the day. Students respond and teachers see his visibility as support.
