Bacon Elementary students, grades 3-5 who earned Honor Roll for the first nine weeks of school, were rewarded with extra sunshine and refreshments with their friends. It always pays off to work hard. Great job guy!

BCES students who display the three "R"s like a Raider, in all ways, very clearly setting a remarkable example for others to follow, are recognized as Raider Kids.
Students pictured were presented an award for being positive role models to their peers and never failing to be Ready, Respectful, and Responsible at all times, during the first nine weeks of school!

Monday, October 30, 2023, is a scheduled Teacher In-service Day for all Bacon County Schools. There will be no school for students on this day.
All students should plan to return to their routine schedules, on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Please be reminded of each school's Early Release times. All BCSD students will be dismissed EARLY this Friday, October 27, 2023. There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Monday, October 30, 2023, due to BCSD scheduled Teacher In-service Day. Tuesday, October 31, 2023, we look forward to seeing all students and staff return to their routine schedule.

October is Fire Prevention month, and Bacon County Primary PreK students were invited to our local Fire Department and given clear direction on what to do and what not to do, in order to stay safe. Thank you to all who had a hand in making this very important information known to our Tiny Red Raiders!

Eighth-grade, Physical Science students recently were given an optional assignment that required them to create a 3-D model of an atom/element, a compound, or a mixture. In addition, students must also detail their models by labeling the atoms and providing real-life examples and explanations, of how the models compare to one another.
An outstanding job by Mrs. Strickland and Mrs. Johnson, two very talented educators!

Congratulations to our BCHS Lady Raider Softball team and coaches on their first of many victories as they battle with many of the best from across Georgia for the State Championship Title!
Bacon defeated Trion 3-0 in the first round.

BCHS Cross Country traveled to Lakeland, Georgia, yesterday, October 25, 2023, to claim their Region Championship Title! It's GREAT to be a Raider! Congratulations to our outstanding runners and coaches, on a job well done! We are BC Proud of you all!

The BCHS Lady Raider Softball Team, Coaches, and a significant amount of fans all headed SouthEast to Columbas, Georgia earlier this morning. Bacon is scheduled to play at 3 p.m. We are cheering for our Elite 8! Next stop, STATE!
