Principal's Honor Roll and Honor Roll, grades 1st-8th, for the second 9-weeks at Bacon County School District!

At BCHS students were asked to work in groups to complete an entry level engineering task. The task required them to design columns made only of a specified amount of paper and tape to hold up at least ten textbooks. Students also reinforced interpersonal and teamwork skills, both positive work ethic traits.

Mrs. Laura Crozier, Bacon County Family Connections Coordinator, made a special delivery to BCES fifth grade students. Each student was given their very own book! Mrs. Crozier made an enormous impact on so many lives, while encouraging students to always "Read to Lead"‼️

Second graders are studying the biography of Helen Keller. They watched small lecture clips about Helen's challenges. The students learned how to sign their name. They also closed their eyes to read braille trying to imagine what it's like to be deaf and blind.

Spencer Toler has been selected as Raider Academy's January Student of the Month for his outstanding academic achievement, role as a leader, and character. He is focused on being a productive member of society who successfully reaches his goals.

BCSD is overflowing with talent of all kinds, as well as a vast number of well rounded & remarkable student athletes. The BCHS Lady Raiders Basketball team, and their phenomenal coaches, are currently ranked 10th by GHSA, out of all 1A-Division 1 schools in the state of Georgia. With roughly half the season still to go, their fans and supporters watch as they dominate and swiftly move up in rank. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes and their superior coaches on a remarkable job this season!

We are grateful for such a wonderful and supportive community! As many of you are aware, our BC Raider Regiment Band receives a portion of the profits from their Phantom Firework booth sales, where you will find them working an enormous portion of their time around the holidays to raise money for supplies, uniforms, and to help with cost of many things that mold them into such outstanding musicians. With their dedication and remarkable community support, they were ranked 3rd in the state of Georgia for the most fireworks sold. Congratulations Raider Regiment and THANK YOU BC Nation for supporting our students‼️
