Recently we shared the OUTSTANDING scores & AWESOME RESA rankings our students received on the Georgia Milestone testing.
At the BOE August monthly meeting, our AMAZING board members presented each of our PHENOMENAL school principals, Superintendent Rowland, and Assistant Superintendent Martin, with signs to place in front of each facility to PROUDLY display that our students & staff are #BCSTRONG! We are beyond thankful for YOU! Each of us plays a vital role when sowing a positive seed in our child's education! Thank you for making us #BCStrong ‼

Bacon County School District’s, Teacher of the Year, was announced and honored at the August monthly meeting on
August twenty-second. It is with great pleasure BCSD Congratulates Mrs. Linsey Carter, a dedicated 5th-grade teacher at Bacon Elementary, for earning this noble title. Mrs. Carter, your hard work and dedication to BCSD students and staff has not gone unnoticed. You are appreciated! Congratulations!

Monday, August 21st, Bacon County Board of Education members recognized Teachers & Support Staff of the year, from each school. Each of them was presented with an award and graciously thanked for their commitment to their students and team members.

Kindergarteners at Bacon Primary have a great time while learning! During class they hatched Dino eggs as they were inspired to do so by a book they've been reading called, The Egg. They then re-enacted the book through their egg. Teachers read students a story and then helped them hatch, taught them to do things, and helped them hatch!

5th grade teacher Mrs. Jenna Hutto, keeps her students engaged in their math lesson on a newly installed ClearTouch Board. These boards are used in all classrooms and are the perfect way to improve student engagement while supporting the multiple learning styles of our students.

GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING AT BCSD & AS ALWAYS, WE CAN’T WAIT TO SHARE! Raider football kicks off the season, at home, against Lanier County at 7:30pm, TOMORROW! Once you’ve arrived, together we can admire the INCREDIBLE new facility upgrades! With expanded, less congested areas, fans can once again yell loud and proud while standing next to the fence! Unable to stand? You too are in luck! Many safety upgrades were constructed with you in mind, including the transformation of Red Raider Stadium as it becomes even more handicap accessible. We aim to make EVERYONE as comfortable and safe as possible. We are #BCProud to live in an unbelievably supportive community and look forward to spending a successful season within our beautiful facility with each of you!

We are reminded each day why we are #BCProud‼ Our Raiders are on 🔥 Congratulations to the BCHS Lady Raiders for dominating Pelham on Tuesday in their first region game of the season, with a 14-0 & 17-0 DOUBLE HEADER VICTORY‼
Let us also congratulate our BCMS Football team and coaches on their first game, and first victory of the season over Bethune‼

BC students are actively preparing their floats for the annual Homecoming Parade, on September 14th‼ Excitement fills the air as the anticipation of which class will win top float‼ We are grateful for our community and all who help make this event a success each year. Please make your calendars and come out to support our students‼

Mrs. Boykin's 4th-grade math class has been working in groups to practice a variety of skills that they have learned since school started. Miss Chloe Owens, who has completed her ECE pathway, is working with a group of students as part of the HS Work-Based Learning Intern Program.
