We are excited to spread the holiday cheer....All BCSD students and staff are welcome to join in on the fun! Spirit Week- December 12th-15th!

Students in Mr. Brent Johnson's engineering class are learning about the use of renewable energy sources, specifically wind, while designing and building a scaled replica of a windmill. Students used the Engineering process to create a functioning windmill under stress from a wind source( box fan).

Students will dismiss at the end of the school day on Friday, November 18th and will not return until Monday, November 28th. We hope that you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family & friends‼️

Today we celebrate our amazing Central Office Directors that put their hearts into making their departments the best they can be for the students and staff of Bacon County. We are thankful and proud to have each of them on our team.

Ms. Ava Barnes was selected as the Raider Academy, Student of the Month. She has been an exemplary student who goes above and beyond what is asked to meet goals, exemplify leadership, and promote inclusiveness among all peers. Ava carries herself as a student of high moral values who is passionate about inspiring others to do the same. Congratulations, Ava‼️

Bacon Elementary has been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education on the 21-22 list of Title I Distinguished Schools. The Distinguished Schools designation recognizes Title I schools that are ranked in the top 5% based on a combined ELA and Math Achievement Rate score from FY2021 College & Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Content Mastery data.

BCHS Lady Raider Softball players & coaches were honored for their outstanding season, last night at the BC BOE meeting. We are beyond proud of all of their hard work & dedication and are eager to see what next season holds. Congratulations once again to our BCHS Lady Raiders & Coaches!

There will be no school for BCSD students and staff, November 21-25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Students and Staff will return on Monday, November 28th.

BCHS students in Mr. Jimmy Scott’s Animal Science class, are studying Identification of cattle anatomical parts and wholesale cuts of steers‼️

BCHS Competition Cheerleaders along with their coaches, Tanya Bourdeau, Mary Mavis Bourdeau, & Crystal Roberts, and an enormous crowd of BC fans, traveled to Macon, Georgia, on Saturday, October 12th, to compete in the GHSA state competition. These ladies did an outstanding job finishing 8th after competing against the top 16 1 A schools in the state of Georgia.
