BCMS FFA Practices Their Club Motto

You will find the line "Living to Serve" in the FFA Motto.
Previously, Bacon County Middle School FFA members raised money to help a family in our local community. The chapter was able to donate a $100 gift card from Jay's IGA to two local families. Such a noble deed was done by FFA Advisor, Mr. Edmund Thrift and his team of officers!

Raider Academy's Annual Mock Interview and Business Dinner Etiquette

On February 5, 2024, Raider Academy students participated in the annual Mock Interview and Business Dinner Etiquette Event. The purpose of this event is to develop professional interview strategies that enhance students' interpersonal skills, confidence, and adaptability while maintaining a high standard of conduct in social networking events. Students presented updated resumes, created formal table settings, and practiced the art of small talk (quantity, quality, relevance). Based on interview criteria, the top three awards were presented to Emilee Williams (1st place), Ja'Miyah Mercer (2nd place), and Jesiah Smith (3rd place). Special recognition was given to Ja'lijah Simpson, Jesiah Smith, and Emilee Williams for their leadership roles during interview workshops. Mrs. Chandra Green, Coordinator for the Raider Academy and Mock Interview shared how proud of the skills her students displayed during this event.

Students Of The Month Stand Tall

Mr. Landon Crews was selected as Raider Academy’s January Student of the Month. Ms. Emilee Williams was named the Raider Academy Student of the Month, for February.
RA Coordinator, Mrs. Chandra Green shared why each of her students was chosen.
“Landon was selected due to proving himself a remarkable, responsible, and very reliable young man! Landon is an outstanding individual, who works relentlessly and strives to reach his daily goals. He is a young man of integrity and character, who perseveres and gives his best daily. Landon is extremely kind and thoughtful and his classmates enjoy working with him.”
“Emilee was chosen for her outstanding character, work ethic, and enthusiasm for reaching her goals. Emilee stands out as a model student, whose charm and academic achievement are admired by her peers. She volunteers to help in the classroom and is respected as a young woman of integrity.”
Congratulations to Landon and Emilee who are both true representations of a Red Raider!
