The Georgia Association of Educational Leaders recognized Bacon County Schools with the 2023-2024 GAEL Vision Award this past Sunday at the Winter GAEL Conference in Athens, GA. The Vision Award is presented to school districts that are committed to encouraging and supporting teachers, principals, and district office staff in professional learning. We are #BC Strong & #BC Proud!

The BCHS Red Raider Wrestling Team competed at the Sweet Onion Invitational in Toombs County against some of the toughest wrestlers in the state. Two Raiders walked away with a little hardware. Sophomore Ashton Crawford finished sixth place in the 6th in 113 weight class and Junior, Addison Cothern finished 3rd in the 144 weight class. They spent the week preparing and will now advance to compete TOMORROW, in the Area Competition hosted by Irwin County. Wishing them both good luck!

Kaydience and Carly presented and demonstrated to their peers, some of the knowledge and skills they've obtained while in Business Communications, by building a digital portfolio in Mrs. Ross's Class.

For the 100th day of school, second-grade students at Bacon Primary dressed up as if they were 100 years old. They wrote an essay describing what they'd be like as an elderly person and drew a self-portrait. Learning is so much fun!
