BCHS HOSA Club had 11 students advance to the State Leadership Conference from regional levels. This is the first time in many years that HOSA will have members travel to Atlanta to compete at the state level.

More than twenty FFA Chapters in South Region, Area 6, made the commute to Bacon County to compete in an areawide agriculture competition hosted by BCHS FFA.

BCHS Principal, Charlie Powell, welcomed all and wished them the very best of luck as they competed in multiple areas they had been preparing for, for quite some time.

Alissa Beckham and Braylee Johnson served on the Agricultural Sales Team, while Brody Batten competed in the EMC Wiring contest. The Georgia Department of Education also used the Bacon County High School facility as a training location for first-year agricultural teachers and as a location for their annual EMC Wiring Advisory Council on this day.

Healthcare is always a big hit at BCHS! Logan, T'Kierra, Morgan, and Gracie have been practicing identifying different types of tissues that are found throughout the body‼

On January tenth, Bacon County School District hosted its annual local technology fair. The technology fair is open to all students in grades 3-12. Students were given the option to compete as individuals or in teams of 2, in a variety of different categories of technology. Students were required to select one category to compete within.
Competitors who placed 1st or 2nd in each category, in their grade band, will now advance on to the Okefenokee RESA technology fair that will take place in Waycross tomorrow, January 26, 2024.
BCSD will be well represented by 33 intellectual technology competitors at the Okefenokee RESA technology fair.
