At BCHS, Early Childhood Education students are enhancing their essential life skills such as introductions, professional posture, and of course communication. Each of these are crucial when being interviewed and observed in a professional setting. Wonderful job by Mrs. Jessica Johnson and her ECE students!

Hypertension is a common clinical problem and a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease and stroke. Elevated heart rate is associated with elevated blood pressure, increased risk for hypertension, and, among hypertensives, increased risk for cardiovascular disease. Monitoring your blood pressure could be a matter of life or death! Pictured, LaKyrah Loredo, Blaze Johnson, and Jasmine Wasden, three BCHS students who are hands-on learning as they practice taking each other's blood pressure during Healthcare class.

BCHS, career-based students in Ms. Medders' Essentials of Healthcare class, are learning about body systems and cavity contents. Simultaneously, students learned how to perform sutures to close incisions into those cavities.
At BCSD, students are preparing for the future every day. We are very proud to have such an amazing CTAE program.

BCHS-ECE I, students participated in an “interest survey” while completing their employability skills unit. This exercise allowed them to discover careers that best suited themselves based on their current interest. They then were tasked with creating a display of their choices to exhibit their research and better explain their future career choice. Shown, Kylee Palmer and Delaney McRae appear extremely happy with their choices. What an outstanding exercise to eliminate any doubt about your future career choice! Exceptional job by Mrs. Johnson and her ECE I students!!

BCHS Ag Mechanics class, instructed by Mr. JR Miles, is most definitely a student favorite. In the Agricultural Mechanics Pathway, students learn how to read blueprints, survey land, and ensure the safe use of tools. Students will also get hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and computer programs to construct and maintain agricultural systems and structures. Pictured, Denver Hancock and Scooter Johnson completed a power tools activity in that they used a measuring device to label the diagram on the wood material prior to using the power tool. Practicing many important skills needed within our agricultural community!
