BCMS students in Mr. Martin's journalism class recently completed a lesson about the anatomy of an article. Students found different articles (online and print) to dissect and organize according to the inverted pyramid of journalism. Outstanding job by BCMS as they not only teach students to write, but to structure, organize, and understand‼

Bacon County Middle School students in Mrs. Wheeler's 8th grade ELA class are creating an informational article related to the characters in the novel "The Outsiders". An all-time favorite classic! ‼Awesome job guys and girls‼

BCHS Students in Essentials of Healthcare class were intrigued to have learned that our skin creates a protective barrier in order to help keep the body safe. Caroline Crosby, Kennedy Boatright, and Kaydience Tomberlin practiced placing a protective dressing over a patient’s wound to help create the barrier that is missing. We are thankful for those who keep us safe! Excellent job ladies!

During Marketing Principles, a career-based elective, taught by Mr. Reed Burkett, BCHS students were instructed to work in pairs to create a customer profile using their individual bibliographies, interests, and hobbies. A profile analysis allows you to see the customer's motivations and deterrents behind their purchases and provides insights into what customers value most when interacting with brands. A skill very valuable in any marketing profession.

Bacon Elementary fourth-grade student, Tatumn Holton was the first recipient of the BCES book vending machine. Her math teacher, Mrs. Angela Spires, nominated her. Mrs.Spires stated that after Tatumn got her Raider Reward tickets instead of shopping for herself she gave one to a student in her classroom! Tatumn, you make us #BCProud and are a reminder of what well-rounded, good-hearted students, AMAZING students we have here at BCSD! Way to Go!
