Bacon Elementary Students in grades 3rd-5th were encouraged to take part in the BCES Weekend Little Caesar's Fundraiser Kickoff, incentive.
They were challenged with selling as many pizzas as they possibly could before returning. With a Teacher In-service Day on Monday, this would hopefully encourage them to make good use of their extra time. After selling from September 15 through September 18, students who sold 3, 5, or 7 kits during this period were rewarded with a sweet treat as they returned to school on the following Tuesday. A large number of students within BCSD have unbelievable support systems at home. The eagerness so many BC students have to put in the work to do whatever is needed to raise money for their school is incredible! Awesome job guys‼ We are incredibly BCProud of you‼

Last Wednesday, BCMS Red Raider Football traveled to Waycross. With a tied score of 6-6 at halftime. Offensively Bacon leaned on Waycross in the second half. The defense stepped up at the end of the game to seal the deal. DJ Peterson caught a huge pass on 4th and 13 from Amare Ryals. Keyundric Dixon punched it in 2 plays later in the game, to put Bacon up 26-20 with 34 seconds left. BCMS Red Raider Football Head Coach, Randy Roland, shared that their motto for the second half was to be somebody’s hero. Congratulations to BCMS Red Raider Athletes and Coaches who continue to make us BC Proud! Bacon vs. Pierce this upcoming Wednesday, with playoffs in line to follow. SEE YOU THERE

BCMS students in Miss Pegues' 7th grade Science class are having loads of fun with what seems like such a simple technique. Each student used vocabulary cards to play Quiz, Quiz, Trade while reviewing for their upcoming assessment. Learning doesn't have to be complicated, but it can always be fun! Great job BCMS‼

Bacon County High School students who are currently enrolled in Mr. Brent Johnson's Engineering Pathway had the chance to explore potential career avenues in the fields of science, manufacturing, engineering, and sustainability during their recent tour of the Milliken-Alma Plant. Lamar Wood of Milliken & Company, guided BCHS engineering students while providing them with a distinctive perspective on advanced manufacturing, sustainability practices, and innovation. BCSD, BCHS, and the CTAE program would like to extend their gratitude for this valuable opportunity and the new business partnership‼

BCES fourth grader, Addison Griffin was rewarded with a trip to the book vending machine after completing her punch card. Each punch card has 20 spots, and 4th-grade students can get punches on their cards for good quiz grades, exhibiting good behavior, getting folders signed and returned, as well as other good deeds! Way to go, Addison!

Accreditation Status is given to schools that have met financial and administrator qualifications and have met at least 85% of the standards in each of the sections set by the GAC Board of Directors. A school is Accredited with Quality when it meets all of the standards which apply to Accreditation Status. We are unbelievably proud of the high-quality education delivered at every school within BCSD!

In honor of Attendance Awareness Month, we would like to bring attention to this outstanding group of BCES educators. Students will indeed, follow the example they are shown. We are extremely fortunate to have a district full of team members who set an amazing example inside and outside of their classrooms.
